I tried their A la carte menu last night. Amuse Bouche Duo was a bite of raw trout and a turnip soup with espresso and yuzu. They were just excellent. Foie Gras Saute was so delicious, but Halibut's sauce was too salty and I couldn't finish the plate. My friend's Lobster Ravioli and her main dish Cod was okay too. Such a great first impression but main dish was a disappointment.

Oh boy, I know you are on your way to becoming a professional food critic when you say things like "...the platings were a bit fussy." Nice.

Glad to hear your parents were able to finally enjoy a very nice dining experience. You're a good son. All that is left is giving them a grandkid. Sorry, couldn't resist the little jab. ;)
